New Online Magazine

While browsing for tutorials, I ran across a post that provided a link to a new online Free scrapbooking magazine.  Always being up for Free ideas I clicked the link they provided.  I expected a 30-50 page magazine.  To my surprise over 200 pages!  Whoo Hoo! Then I figured it must be a quarterly magazine but no, it is monthly.

Scrapbook Generations is in Springfield MO and I have heard nothing but great things about them and their layout books.  Even though I have tried several times when I was in town, I have yet to make it to their store during business hours.  Maybe this is the year.

Check their magazine out for yourself.  I am sure you will be bookmarking it too!

New Swap gone wrong

Here is another swap I was in recently.  We were to create an "upcycled" item.  I will say this is one that I am not really proud of.  I worked hard on it but plastic is not my medium!

My partner has now received it but apparently in pieces.  Here is what is originally looked like when I mailed it.

Swaps Galore

It's been awhile since I've posted anything.  I really need to start posting all my swaps I am both creating and receiving from the Cricut Message Board.  Here is a recent Chunky Charm Swap I participated in.  Our theme was a movie and I chose Wizard of Oz.  There is so much to see and it is so chunky I thought I took pictures of each section but it appears I missed the scarecrow and wizard sections on their own.  (I told you there was a lot to look at)   I really like how it turned out.  I used Graphic 45 Paper and Stamps on the tag

Back In Action

It has been a long, long time since I posted. I haven't really been gone,  just busy and not posting. I just finished 250 wedding invitations for my niece so now I can get back to crafting.

I have been doing lots of swaps on the Cricut message board so I am going to start posting them here for others to enjoy as well.  I will wait to post pics until my items are received by my partners and then I will post both what I sent as well as what I received here.

So without further ado, here is the Stick Pin and Pincushion I did for my partner.

Handmade Swap Goodies

I joined a swap on the Cricut Message Board and it has been alot of fun.  I will post pictures of what I made for my partners later after they both have their boxes opened but here are the goodies that I got
from Birdseye (aka Bridgette) for my Halloween swap.  I absolutely love everything!

Wow, it has been forever since I have been able to access my blog.  I still cannot get into it with my normal browser but I seem to have been able to find a work around for now.  I have been wanting to post some more projects so I will try this.

I entered another challenge at Scrapbook Unique but I can't post it until after October 18 as I am using it for a swap as well and don't want to spoil the surprise.

Here is a box I made for graduation for my nephew and niece to hold their graduation cards.  I made it so
you can interchange the center of the rosettes, the names, the mascot and school logo and the box is shaped
like a mortar board with a tassel in school colors. to make it a little more "girly" for my niece I added some pearls around the congrats letters and her name.

Contest Results

We finally got the results of the contest.  The winner was a great 3D card that had the Eiffel Tower pop up in the middle of it.

On to my next project....
